The film covers Lennon’s life from the release of his 1970 debut solo album, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, to his tragic death in 1980. It explores key moments in his career, such as the release of his diss track “How Do You Sleep?” aimed at Paul McCartney, his powerful protest anthems like “Power To The People,” “Happy Xmas (War Is Over),” and “Imagine,” and his infamous legal battle with U.S. President Richard Nixon, who attempted to deport Lennon.

Additionally, Borrowed Time unveils the controversial relationship between Lennon and Yoko Ono, including the first-ever reveal of how they met, as well as the untold story of Lennon’s 1981 comeback tour that never happened.
